Virath Gobrie
General Manager: Sibaya
Virath Gobrie joined Sun International in 2005 as an Accountant at Sibaya Casino. He progressed within the company before being appointed Financial Manager at Meropa Casino, which he held from 2008 to 2012. He was then appointed as Financial Manager at the Wild Coast Sun before returning to Sibaya in 2014 as the Financial Manager.
In 2018, Virath moved to the Central Office, where he was part of the Efficiency Initiative and Central Office restructure projects. After completing his project roles, he joined the Hospitality Division in 2020 as the Commercial Manager for Hospitality. His passion for the business and extensive experience gained in Finance and Operations allowed him to progress within the organisation. He believes that having the right attitude, and being motivated and dedicated are key attributes that contribute to a successful career.
Virath holds a B.Acc (Hons) from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal and an MBL from the UNISA Graduate School of Business Leadership.
