Sammy Mokhele
General Manager: Meropa
Sammy Mokhele was appointed General Manager of Meropa in Polokwane as of 1 November 2020. Before then, he held the position of General Manager: Casino and Soho (previously Sun City Hotel) from August 2013, where he led the team in realising the casino’s strategic imperatives and targets.
Sammy has solid experience within the Sun International Group, having previously worked at Meropa as General Manager from 2008 to 2013 before his move to Sun City.
Sammy has held several roles within the group, including Graduate Management Trainee (SI), Manpower Manager (SI), HR Manager (Meropa), Unit HR Manager (Sun City Hotel, Cabanas and Vacation Club), HR Manager Carnival City and Group HR Manager.
Sammy has a BA Degree from the University of the North (Turfloop), has completed the International Executive Development Programme (WITS), and Finance for Non-Financial managers.
