Mechanics

Progressive Prize

  1. Qualifying MVG’s stand a chance to win their share of a progressive jackpot of R15 000 in cash.
  2. Tickets (duplicate) are sold at the Cash Desk at R30 per ticket.
  3. Tickets sales will open on the day of the promotion at 10h00. 

Consolidation Prize

  1. In the event that the jackpot is not won, the PJ will announce the first 18 numbers that were spun again to allow all players an opportunity to check their tickets again.  A period of 90 seconds will be allotted for this purpose.
  2. The PJ will then announce that spins will continue for the consolation prize until a winner is identified.

Prize Breakdown

  1. The progressive jackpot will be paid to the winner(s) in a particular session who is first to get all 9 numbers within the first 18 spins.
  2. The progressive jackpot`s base value will be determined solely by the amount/value of the ticket sales for that specific session.
  3. The continued increase in the progressive jackpot value will be determined solely by the amount/value of the ticket sales in subsequent sessions (- R5 000 allocated to consolation prize) and will continue accruing in value.
  4. Once the progressive jackpot value reaches a threshold of +R100 000, the designated staff member will keep spinning until a winner(s) are identified, irrespective of the number of spins. The prize money will be shared equally if there are multiple winners.

Additional Mechanics

  1. Players must buy separate tickets for the 19h00 and 21h00 promotion.  Tickets for the different time slots will vary in colour.
  2. Tickets are only valid for one session i.e. (blue tickets are only valid for 19h00, pink tickets are only valid for 21h00)
  3. Players must select any 9 numbers from 0 – 36; together with their names and ID numbers or client number on their tickets.
  4. Ticket sales close 15 min before each session.
  1. Top copies needs to be handed in to the designated staff on duty at the promotion station located on the main gaming floor stage and at least 5 minutes prior to the start of the promotion.
  2. The players retain the bottom copy as proof of entry and for verification purposes.
  3. Entry closes 5 minutes before the start of the promotion.
  4. One security officer will be in attendance at the promotion station safeguarding the top copy entries and will assist with verification.
  5. No other staff are allowed on the stage except for the security officer, marketing staff, responsible PJ and gaming management.
  6. The table’s staff will spin the wheel.  AR1 will be utilized for the promotion.  In case AR1 is unavailable another table will be used at the discretion of management.
  7. The PJ will announce all numbers spun in an audible voice.
  8. Any player/s that record all 9 of their tickets` selected numbers within the first 18 spins will be declared the winner/s of the PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT.
  9. The winner/s must shout “Flamingo Roulette” in an audible voice and present their ticket at the promotion station.
  10. If a number is spun more than once, the PJ will announce a re-spin.
  11. Repeat numbers spun will have no material effect on the outcome and will thus be ignored for the purposes of this promotion.
  12. A number verification sheet will be filled in to keep record of all the numbers spun.

Consolidation Prize

  • Again, participating players must shout “Flamingo Roulette” when all 9 numbers are recorded on their ticket and players will be given 90 seconds within which to present themselves with their ID and winning ticket to the PJ.
  • The verification process as described above will apply.
  • If there are multiple winners, the prize pool will be shared equally amongst them.
  • The consolation prize = R5 000 cash per session.
  • After the winner/s are verified, ticket sales for the 2nd session reopens and again closes 15 min before the session starts.

Rules

  1. No person under 18 is allowed to gamble or participate in this promotion.
  2. Any person who has been issued with a Refusal of Entry order, or who is self-excluded, or who fall into the category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from participating in this promotion.
  3. This promotion is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents, or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
  4. Participating entrants must be members of the Sun International MVG Programme.
  5. It remains the responsibility of the players to mark their card/s correctly and announce a “full” card by identifying themselves as a winner.
  6. If two or more players simultaneously announce themselves as possible winners after a particular spin, the appropriate prize amount will be shared equally by the winning players upon identification and verification.
  7. If a number is repeated, i.e., the same number occurring more than once during the game, the duplicate spins will be discarded.
  8. To claim a “full” Flamingo Roulette Card, the card holder must be present at the promotion and must present themselves to the responsible person along with picture identification or personalised MVG card.
  9. The corresponding top copy must be found in the designated area in order to have a valid prize claim or else the guests(s) will be disqualified, and the game will continue.
  10. Guests must buy a ticket at the cash desk for R30 in order to enter.
  11. Ticket purchasing closes 15 minutes prior to the start of each promotional session.
  12. Entries cannot be obtained through points or through any other form of consideration.
  13. No late entries will be accepted. Ticket entry closes 5 minutes prior to the start of each promotional session.
  14. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged unless otherwise advertised. Prize winners must sign for receipt of prizes.
  15. All decisions are final and binding. However, correspondence or appeals can be referred to the General Manager for adjudication and if still not satisfied to the NCGB thereafter.
  16. In the event of technical failure or damage to the device/s used for the promotion, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method will be used, at the sole discretion of Management.
  17. In the event of a verification stub being damaged/destroyed to such an extent as to make verification impossible, the ticket will be deemed null and void.
  18. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation.
  19. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.

  21. All formal communication regarding this promotion constitutes part of the rules of the promotion.
  22. It is a specific condition of entry that the player agrees to be governed by these rules and any other decisions that the company officials may make.
  23. Any persons deviating from the rules of this promotion may be disqualified.
