Celebrating South Africa’s cultural diversity through food, storytelling, and communal gathering.
This September, The Palace of the Lost City invites you to take your seat at one of the most extraordinary dining experiences in South Africa.
Nestled within the grandeur of Sun City Resort, The Palace has long been a place where the extraordinary feels effortless. This Heritage Month, we turn that magic toward something deeply South African - a celebration of who we are, where we come from, and the food that tells our stories.
The Heritage Month Harvest Table runs every Saturday in September across two of the most iconic settings at The Palace. Join us in the elegant Crystal Court on the 5th, 12th, and 19th for candlelit heritage dinners, each one spotlighting a different chapter of our cultural tapestry. Then on the 26th, Heritage Day weekend, the experience moves outdoors to the lush Boma Gardens, where a grand long table stretches beneath open skies, bringing every culture together in one breathtaking setting.
Each seat places you at a table divided into the living cultures of our nation. From the slow-pounded Seswaa of the Tswana to the iconic Bunny Chow of Durban’s Indian community, the smoky theatre of a live braai station to the delicate sweetness of Cape Malay koesisters - every dish carries a name, a people, and a story.
Arrive to a welcome board, take your Culture Passport, and let the music carry you. This is not just a meal. It is a gathering. It is heritage, served with pride.
Book your seat. The table is waiting.
