Valley of Waves
As a Sun City day visitor, you have access to the legendary Valley of Waves, Sun City’s famous water park offering family-friendly fun in the sun. With lifeguards on duty and a designated children’s area, Sun City day visitors can enjoy themselves in a safe, controlled environment.
The Valley of Waves provides one of the best and more popular experiences at Sun City!
The Maze of the Lost City
Sun City day visitors are invited to lose themselves in The Maze of the Lost City! This beautiful permanent maze, the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, is a fun family activity, as well as a great team-building exercise. Spanning half an acre in size, Sun City day visitors can access The Maze via a 100-metre long suspension bridge via Sun Central. And, if you manage to get to the end, enjoy a sundowner at The Maze Bar which stocks a variety of craft beers on tap.
Entrance fees are the same for Sun City day visitors and resort residents.
Sun City Golf Courses
Rates and Fees
Sun City Resort is home to two exceptional golf courses. The Gary Player Golf Course is a par-72, 18-hole walking course that’s ranked one of the top five in South Africa and hosts the annual Nedbank Golf Challenge. The Lost City Golf Course is a par-72 18-hole desert-style golf course.
Sun City day visitors can choose to tee off on either, each with their own interesting challenges
Family
When was the last time you had a fun family outing? As a Sun City day visitor, there’s plenty of fun to be had for kids of all ages! Bring swimming costumes, hats, sunscreen and a smile as you explore our extensive kids' entertainment options.
Start them off with tube ride and water sports at Waterworld Lake and then pop into Animal World where they’ll enjoy encounters with birds and all sorts of interesting creatures. A ride on the Stimela Train or digging for treasure at Finders Keepers are popular options, while Kamp Kwena offers educational programmes and activities designed to keep children aged four to 12 entertained for hours.
They can also explore The Maze of the Lost City and find loads of thrills with our outdoor adventure activities which include quad-biking, hovercrafts and extreme sports.
Sun City day visitors can’t leave without experiencing the famous Valley of Waves! Go tubing around the Lazy River or summon your adrenaline junkie for the Temple of Courage with its 17-metre drop-down slide! Grab a quick lunch at one of the fast food restaurants before enjoying the waves at the Roaring Lagoon. With towels and umbrellas available to hire, you can also soak up some rays in the afternoon.
Sun City day visitors also have access to Sun City’s entertainment hub, Sun Central. Here, you can shop, play games or take in a show or concert at the Superbowl or treat the family to a meal at one of our many restaurants.
Romance
If you need a day of love and romance with your partner, make your way to Sun City! Sun City day visitors can get pampered at one of two five-star spas, the Royal Salon wellness spa and beauty salon or the Gary Player Health Spa and beauty salon. Start off your day with a relaxing couples massage followed by the steam room.
If you’re looking for a real treat, a hot air balloon ride is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to share with your special someone! As a Sun City day visitor, you can also book a safari tour to view the Big Five at the Pilanesberg National Park or play your part in rhino conservation and join a rhino-notching experience.
For a fun afternoon, Segway through Sun City’s gardens and golf courses or enjoy thrill-seeking adventures such as the world’s fastest zip-line. Then indulge in high tea at Crystal Court or round off your day with fine dining at one of Sun City’s highly acclaimed restaurants. Clinch that deal during the 18-hole challenge of the Gary Player Country Club Golf Course or on the Lost City Golf Course. Not a golfer? There’s a variety of other sports activities on offer to burn off those long hours spent in the boardroom.
