Carnival City Casino has initiated a zero waste to landfill program, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable operations and environmental responsibility. This initiative focuses on reducing waste generation, promoting recycling and reuse, and implementing efficient waste management practices to minimize the casino's environmental footprint.
The solar installation at Staff and Main Parking areas, covering 14,904 m² with 5,003 panels, was completed on 14 February 2024. It converts sunlight into electricity for immediate use, reducing emissions and supporting sustainability. Phase 1 was commissioned in May 2024, and Phase 2 began in September 2024. The system provides parking shade, enhances customer awareness, and has performed well since June 2024, delivering savings and reducing reliance on backup generators. The project has an estimated payback period of six years.
