This is why government has prioritised entrepreneurship and the advancement of Small, Medium and Micro-sized Enterprises (SMMEs) as the catalyst to achieving economic growth and development. The significance of this contribution to the economy is reflected in the National Development Plan’s (NDP) priority to increase small business’s contribution to the economy to 90% by 2030.
