Reliance on Electricity

A Group energy management policy was formulated during 2015. As part of the NBI PSEE programme, energy audits were conducted across the Group identifying the Group’s electrical energy utilization areas. The energy strategy is based on an energy saving hierarchy, which guides the Group in implementing its energy management strategy. The energy meter policy is being rolled out throughout the Group and specific energy efficiency targets will be set once a measurable baseline is determined during 2018. The 2020 goal is that 20% of all energy used across the Group be supplied through renewable energy.
